Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Ignovys (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects your information when you visit our website, make a purchase, or interact with our email/SMS marketing.

1) Information We Collect

Information you provide to us

  • Identity & contact data (name, email, phone, billing/shipping address).

  • Order & payment details (items purchased, currency, subtotal/taxes/shipping, masked payment info).

  • Communications & preferences (support tickets, email/SMS opt-ins, product review submissions).

Information collected automatically

  • Device & usage data (IP address, browser type, OS, pages viewed, referring/exit pages, timestamps).

  • Cookie/SDK/Pixel data (see Cookies & Similar Technologies below).

  • Approximate location (derived from IP to localize currency, language, and shipping options).

Information from partners

  • E-commerce platform & processors (Shopify, payment gateways).

  • Fulfillment & carriers (for label creation and tracking).

  • Email/SMS providers (subscription status, delivery/engagement).

  • Analytics/ads (aggregated performance metrics and click-throughs).

2) How We Use Your Information

  • To process your orders (cart/checkout, payment, fraud screening, shipping, returns/replacements).

  • To provide support (answer questions, manage tickets, troubleshoot).

  • To improve our store (analytics, debugging, load-balancing, UX).

  • To personalize & market (only with your consent where required)—email newsletters, product updates, and SMS (see Section 8).

  • To comply with law (tax, accounting, regulatory requests) and enforce our Terms.

Legal bases (GDPR/UK-GDPR): performance of a contract, legitimate interests (store operations, fraud prevention, analytics), consent (email/SMS/optional cookies), and legal obligations.

3) Our Role vs. Shopify’s Role

We are the data controller for your store interactions. We use Shopify to host our storefront, power checkout, and provide e-commerce infrastructure. Shopify stores your data on secure servers and acts as our processor/service provider for “Customer Personal Data,” processing it under their Data Processing Addendum. Payments. If you pay using a direct gateway supported by Shopify or other processors (e.g., card wallets), your card data is handled in accordance with PCI-DSS and is tokenized/encrypted; we do not store full card numbers.

4) Cookies & Similar Technologies

We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to: (a) keep your session and cart, (b) measure store performance, (c) remember preferences (currency/language), and (d) (where allowed) support analytics and marketing.

Categories

  • Strictly necessary (required for cart/checkout and security).

  • Performance & analytics (traffic, conversions).

  • Functional (remember choices like currency).

  • Advertising (only where permitted/consented).

Because our store runs on Shopify, some cookies may be placed by Shopify when you visit our storefront. See Shopify’s cookie notice for examples. 5) Email Marketing

With your permission, we send emails about Ignovys updates, products, offers, and tips. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email or by contacting support@ignovys.com. (Unsubscribing from marketing does not affect essential service emails, such as order confirmations or shipping notices.)

6) SMS/Text Marketing & Notifications

If you enter your phone number at checkout, subscribe via form/keyword, or otherwise opt in, you agree that we may send you order notifications (including abandoned cart reminders) and promotional messages. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

    We obtain consent and honor opt-outs in line with U.S. industry guidance (e.g., CTIA) and applicable law (e.g., TCPA). CTIAFCC

7) Disclosure of Your Information

We share information only as needed to run our business and comply with law:

  • Vendors & processors: Shopify (storefront/checkout), payment gateways, email/SMS platforms (e.g., Klaviyo, SMSBump), hosting/CDN, analytics/anti-fraud, and shipping/carriers.

  • Business transfers: If we merge, sell assets, or are acquired, data may be transferred to the new owner.

  • Legal & safety: When required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

We do not sell your personal information. If we engage in targeted advertising that qualifies as “sharing” under California law, we will provide a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” mechanism and honor GPC opt-out signals. California DOJ+1

8) Your Privacy Choices & Rights

Europe/UK (GDPR/UK-GDPR)

You may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, and port your data, and to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior lawful processing). We respond within one month (or as allowed/extended by law). GDPRICO

United States (State Privacy Laws, incl. California)

Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to access, delete, correct, opt out of targeted advertising (sharing) or sales of personal data, and limit the use/disclosure of sensitive data. How to exercise rights
Email support@ignovys.com with the subject “Privacy Request,” and tell us which right you wish to exercise. We’ll verify your identity (and, if applicable, authority of your agent) before fulfilling the request. If we decline your request, we’ll explain why and how to appeal (where applicable).

9) Data Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above:

  • Orders & tax records: typically 7 years (to comply with accounting/tax laws).

  • Support tickets & communications: typically 2 years after closure.

  • Marketing: kept until you unsubscribe or after a period of inactivity (we maintain suppression lists to honor opt-outs).

  • Security/anti-fraud logs: per operational need.

We may retain data longer if required by law, to resolve disputes, or enforce agreements.

10) International Transfers

We operate globally and use providers (including Shopify) that may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required (e.g., EEA/UK), we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and comparable transfer safeguards. European Commission+1

11) Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information (e.g., encrypted transport via TLS, access controls, network safeguards). While no system is 100% secure, we regularly review controls and vendor security commitments (e.g., Shopify’s platform security and PCI-DSS for payments).

12) Children’s Privacy

Our site is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are in the EEA/UK, you must be at or above the applicable age of digital consent in your country to use our services. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact support@ignovys.com and we will delete it.

13) Third-Party Links

Our site may link to third-party websites or apps. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We encourage you to review those policies before sharing information.

14) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted here with the “Effective date” above. If we make material changes, we will alert you (e.g., by banner or email) where required.
